The door slid open. Nobody or bodies inhabited the small control room. The master control was still down so someone had not just shut the power off. There didn't seem to have been an attempt to locate and fix any problem.

"It's probably blown a few relays over the years," Bilge said.

"At least we know someone didn't go nuts and just shut it down," Kline said. Finding nothing suspicious in the control room, Kline called Bolcher in as he left to explore the rest of the base.

After backtracking out of life support, Kline continued along the main corridor until he came to an entrance.
