So sad and upset about the attack on Dr Helen Haines, my local MP. I live in Wangaratta and walk past Helen’s office on my way to the Ovens River nearly every day. I have voted for her in the last two elections. So her attack has really hit home. She seems genuinely caring about the world and wanting to build a better Australia. I can’t imagine the trauma she, her family and staff are going through. I hope she recovers.
I just donated to Save the Children, one of her favourite charities, as requested by her husband.
